Axis Max Life celebrates inclusion with its employee-driven CSR initiativein Chennai, supporting specially-abled children

 

Chennai, November 10, 2025Axis Max Life Insurance Limited, formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Limited (“Axis Max Life”/ “Company”),in collaboration with Hope Public Charitable Trust, hosted an employee-driven CSR initiative in Chennai under the Company’s flagship ‘Joy of Giving 2.0’ program. The event witnessed an inspiring display of compassion and 130Axis Max Life employee volunteers came together to support 340 specially-abled&orphan children cared for by the NGO. The day-long event was marked by vibrant performances, meaningful engagement, and a shared commitment to inclusion and empowerment.

 


The ceremony began with the traditional KuthuVilakku lighting by the chief guests -Ms. Jeya Pradha Ganesh, Additional Director, CVRDE, DRDO, Ministry of Defence,Col. Girija Shankar Sahu, Joint Controller, DGQA, Ministry of Defence, and Lt. Col. Varun Rathee, CVRDE, Ministry of Defence, Indian Army, along with Dr. V. Nagarani, Founder of Hope Public Charitable Trust. Their participation underscored the spirit of collaboration between institutions united by a common purpose of service to the society.

Under  this initiative, the event featured a financial literacy session conducted by Axis Max Life, a tree plantation drive, and sports activities with the children, promoting environmental awareness and active financial inclusion in their everyday lives. Employees also participated in the distribution of identity cards and uniformsets amongst the children, reaffirming Axis Max Life’s commitment to empower all sections of the society.Adding to the celebration, the event also included children from Hope Public Charitable Trustshowcasing musical band and dance performances, which drewhuge applause from the audience for their talent and confidence.

 

The Chennai chapter of the ‘Joy of Giving 2.0’ program marks a significant milestone in Axis Max Life’s continued commitment to embedding volunteerism across its operations. Planned as an ongoing city-level engagement, these CSR activities encourage employees to contribute their time and skills toward causes that uplift local communities.
