Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) Welcomes Freshers with Grand Inauguration Ceremony
Chennai, August 7, 2024: VISTAS, one of India's premier multi-disciplinary universities, hosted a grand inauguration ceremony to welcome its new batch of students. The event, attended byn early 6000 students and their parents, marked the beginning of an exciting academic journeyf or the freshers.
Renowned media personality Mr. C. Gopinath, known for his versatility as a television anchor, radio jockey, journalist, and writer, presided over the ceremony as the chief guest. VISTAS
Founder Chancellor Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Vice President Dr. Preethaa Ganesh, and othere steemed academicians were also present.
In his inspiring address, Mr. Gopinath emphasized the importance of accountability, adaptability,
and commitment in achieving success. He urged students to embrace challenges and make the most use of their time at VISTAS.
Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Founder Chancellor of VISTAS, warmly welcomed the students and
encouraged them to utilize the vibrant campus facilities to reach their full potential. He highlighted the significance of sports and extracurricular activities in addition to academicp ursuits.
Dr. Preethaa Ganesh, the Vice President of Vels Group of Institutions, emphasized VISTAS'
commitment to providing a holistic education that goes beyond the conventional syllabus. She mentioned the university's best practices such as dedicated communication training programs,
various student clubs, placement assistance that offers students a numerous opportunities for growth and self-expression.
The ceremony concluded with a lunch hosted by the university for both parents and students.
