Mumbai International Film Festival

While the 18th Mumbai International Film Festival was held in Mumbai (June 15th to 21st), its Chennai Edition was organised by N. F.D. C.(National Film Development Corporation) in Tagore Film Centre , Chennai 

which showcased several Documentaries, Short Fiction and Animation Movies from morning till evening.

The Festival was flagged off on Saturday, 15th June with Billy and Molly: An Otter Love Story from the USA, directed by Charlie ,Hamilton -James.

18th June was earmarked for Red Carpet which was attended by dignitaries as Sri. Annadurai, Additional Director , P. I. B. (Press Information Bureau), E. Thangaraj , Director of CIFF(Chennai International Film Festival), Actor/Director, Vijay Aadhiraj and Actor G. M. Kumar.

Rohini Gauthaman, Head, N. F. D. C., Chennai , Thembavani and Nidhi Dhanamithran, Deputy Managers, were also present on the occasion.

Cineasates, film buffs, college students and a vast multitude of film lovers at large, watched the films following which they were seen discussing and deliberating on the content, directorial acumen and other technical aspects related to the films that were screened.
