 SA College of arts and science I  Value-Added Course 'The Rhythm of Cut' Equips Students with Advanced Film Editing Skills

The Department of Visual Communication, in collaboration with the Placement Cell, successfully conducted a value-added course, The Rhythm of Cut last week


The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by an inaugural session led by renowned editor and director Mr. B. Lenin, who highlighted industry insights and the evolution of editing techniques. Subsequent sessions covered montage editing by Mr. Jayachandran, filmmaking music integration, and a motivational talk by actress Mrs. Devyani Rajkumar.


Percussionist Mr. Takkeshi conducted an engaging hands-on workshop on sound editing. The course culminated with a short film screening, live editing demonstrations, and practical sessions using Da Vinci Resolve.


During the Valedictory Function, participants were awarded certificates, marking their successful completion of the course. This initiative enriched students' filmmaking and editing skills, preparing them for advanced opportunities in the film industry.
